and I know you carry
a sense of weariness, I see
you're the one I'm wanting,
with the plainest clarity

hold me on

hold me on

h o l d   m e   l o n g

on and on

well after all…

I want you home

well, my oh my

have you been gone

and not at home with me

what I know
is that I’m strong
as long as you’re with me

you hold me up
you hold me on
and now you should stay with me

b e a u t i f u l   o n e   l o v e
I’ll hold you on

and after all
we call this home

know you should come
a n d   l a y   w i t h   m e   n o w

here is the love
I promised you now

she’ll hold us on
on and on

on and on

beautiful love

One of mine and Rachel's favourite things to do is search out new and unvisited places amongst the city, filling a memory card of photographs. Last week we found ourselves in a place downtown where the canopy of dark foliage made forgetting you're in a city usually marked by a skyline of sharp edges and towering heights easy. Nothing is sweeter than these afternoons with my best friend. Missing her as she is having the time of her life at camp. and these dear-to-my-heart photos aren't helping that!

today you were far away

and I didn't ask you why

what could I say

I was far away

you just walked away
and I just watched you
what could I say

how close am I to losing you

tonight you just close your eyes
and I just watch you
slip away

how close am I to losing you

hey, are you awake
yeah I'm right here

well can I ask you about today
how close am I to losing you

let’s get away from all this

last weekend, my dear friend Beth and i decided to escape the oh too familiar edmonton in an exchange for foothills, mountains and food. lots and lots of food. and the happiest part? my camera was returned to me days upon us departing. oh happy day! the mountains have to be one of my most loved landscapes to admire and drop my jaw to; often taking for granted the fact that they are only three and a half hours away! another purpose this trip served was visiting as many restaurants and coffee shops as we could possibly cram into three days, one by one crossing them off our lengthy, penned-in list. i will save the pictures of those places for maybe a food critique post (???) ...maybe ;)

lots of love
